Our Nature Play Group gathers in the Nature Play Space every Tuesday morning, 10:00 - 11:30, throughout fall, winter, and spring.
Under the guidance of early childhood educators, the group provides meet-up opportunities and activities for parents/caregivers and their child(ren), ages birth to five years.
The morning begins with free play and the opportunity to create a nature-inspired craft, followed by a group-time of seasonal songs, poems, a simple puppet play, and a homemade picnic snack (provided).
You may join for one week, or every week. We do request an RSVP at www.natureplaygroup.org
before you attend. A weekly suggested donation of $10/family helps cover the cost of food, supplies, and the teachers' efforts.
Karen Brennan and Emily Klein, early childhood teachers and friends of the preserve, host the Nature Play Group.
Their program provides a time and place for city children to play and learn in nature and likewise gives adults a place to connect, enjoy a cup of tea, and share in the journey of parenting/caregiving.
Hope to see you in the woods!
